  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Actually, you're in the minority, not too many men do needlework. But it's great to see that some do. Famous football player Rosie Grier does needlepoint, he even published a book of his personal designs.

I think if you tried a small counted cross-stitch design you'd get over your fear of not being talented enough. Try a kit from your local craft store, I think once you do one, you'll never go back to the printed designs.

I think it is great that you cross stitch! :) Have you tried no-count designs? The outline of the pattern is printed on the fabric, it really helps from the transition from fully-printed cross stitch to counted cross stitch.

I am a cross stitcher, diligently working on a Bent Creek snowman and a design from Cross Country Stitching (the worship plate for 2005). My husband is always buying me things to stitch (he spoils me  ) so I have way too much to do in this lifetime! I go crazy at Hobby Lobby with their discounted leaflets and kits, I got a $42.00 kit for $4.21 (I remember the exact price!) not too long ago there, what a steal. :D It's called "Enchantment" by Kustom Krafts, I plan on starting that after Christmas. My favorite designers are Dimensions Gold, Cross Country Stitching / Jeremiah Junction, Kustom Krafts, Mystic Stitch, and SanMan Originals.

I know a guy who does cross stitch, so you are not alone :D

Unfortunately I still don't have a lot of time to do the projects I have on the go at the moment :(

I love to cross-stitch, but never seem to have the time or the energy to spend concentrating on it anymore. I always seem to go for the big, complicated designs  Maybe over the holidays though, I will get some done on the dolphin design I am supposed to be doing for DD.

I love to cross stitch. I think that it's relaxing, until I mess up and can't find where!. I don't have much time to do it though, between school, homework, sports and chores, not much time is left over. I think I'll go work on my Precious Moments project now, since it's break and snowing like crazy outside right now.

This is a website that sells cross stitch patterns for a bery low cost---usually under $5.00. You download their program (free) and then you can choose all kinds of designs and print them in different ways. Such an inexpensive way to get cross stitch designs!

This website goes hand in hand with the above:
