CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

YIPPEE!! I finished the aran/claret/lt sage afghan yesterday!! (well, I still have to weave in all those ends *sigh*) Now it is back to the huge doily. Only 3 more rounds before working a bunch of pineapples. UGH--another bunch of ends to deal with. Think my next project will be something done in one piece, one color and few ends to deal with.

I know, I know--I vowed that my next project would be simple, in one piece and one color so I wouldn't have to deal with a multitude of ends. But this pattern was calling my name. So while it is simple (alternating sc, dc), and all in one piece it is in 2 colors (red and black) and sometimes the color changes every row!! But it will make the perfect gift for about 3 of the guys on my list for Christmas.
When will I ever learn?????

Here is a picture of my newest project - two baby ponchos. They are made with baby yarn and trimmed in a fluffy white yarn.
I'll be donating these to the church craft sale in October. I'd like to make some more of them but I'm not sure if they will sell well.
