Bing brother...
Seriously I don't like reminding people specially you because I expect you to know everything...
Any way, I guess I have to remind you however before I do that I am going to let you explain further with regards to your statements you have made so far...
I didn't expected "Bing" because I want an explanation in response...
The operative word was "bingo" ....with the smile face being the "o"....
Thought you might pick up on that brother...
The sassanid empire were not muslim, they pre dated Islam so of course they were pagans and they beleived in the crescent and star. Here is some info about the sassanids from Wikipedia:That's an interesting one I hadn't heard.. Of course a Muslim I am sure will respond..
If you look at the coins of the Sassanids of Persia who were supplanted by being defeated by the Muslim Arab armies you will see the crescent pretty prominently so the crescent was already a widely held symbol in the Middle East:

This topic of discussion makes me more nationalist each time,,lol
It annoys me too that the Southern Cross in the Australian Flag is made up of star shapes. Clearly an impossible situation, because we know that constellations aren't actually made up of star-shapes. But you know, I think that flags aren't created for their scientific accuracy. The thing I always find annoying/amusing is when geniuses place the star inside the circumference of the moon (clearly an impossible situation)!
Bruce
Yes a made-up story but the red color symbolizes the blood of the martyrs originally and the cressent and star is both an ancient turkish and an Islamic symbol which has been adopted as Islamic by the same people anyway..A meaningful flag for us..Also Turkish flag has strict measurements of geometrical values, if considered, the star actually appears to be in the crescent slightly, which was Bruce's issue.
Are the turks our ally?
