  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm curious, what is it that people hate about Creed so much? I'm not a huge fan or anything, but it seems like it is COOL to hate them. Maybe someone can enlighten me.
I was wondering the same thing. If you don't like the music they had put out that is understandable, not every band is going to appeal to every person. But there is such a huge group of people that seems to HATE Creed. I don't get it. I loved the music they put out and saw them in concert twice which was amazing.

Because the lead singer has a huge ego problem, and nobody likes a melodramatic singer like the one from Creed. Sure, that's personal opinion, but I know PLENTY of people who agree.

I used to like some of their stuff, honestly. But...all the melodramatic stunts and repetitive songs got...annoying.

What artist doesnt have a ego problem??!!!
Its sad that they broke up though, their music had a more positive message, unlike some other groups. I mean when a radio station has to bleep out the majority of the words because their bad , thats sad. I mean, can Fred Durst even sing a song without using the f-word??? The guy would be lost!!

As much as I hate Fred Durst, that censorship does not reflect badly on him at all, only the listenership.

That's a valid answer. I know some people hated them because they weren't manly enough. What I mean is, the lead singer wrote a song about how happy he was when he found out he would be a father "arms wide open". this is not considered cool by a lot of hard rock fans.

i used to work at a place where everyone was a "manly" man, who had testerosterone oozing out. We listened to music all the time and they hated U2, creed, coldplay, and anything that had any type of emotion to their songs.
