Digit said:Why do you think God is called, The Creator? Why do you believe that an all powerful being, who can do anything, who can create from nothing, who created the entire universe, needed to use a system like evolution, to create man, and why do you then think that instead of simply inspiring a writer to record these events, He would decide to leave a figurative, poetic account of it instead? Because, that doesn't make a great deal of sense to me.
That bit there over at http://www.christianforums.com/t5451983-creationist-faith-rests-on-genesis-confirmed.html got me thinking.
Creationism (especially YEC) needs a better term that more accurately describes it. After all, Theistic Evolution also has a Creator and is Creation.
I propose that what is currently known as Creationism should henceforth be referred to as Genesism, especially given its heavy reliance on Genesis.
