  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Did you know that there is also Creationism in Islam? They don’t believe in the 6000 years (Islam had no Bishop Ussher), but they also believe that God personally built man and all animals from dirt, and they also reject evolution. Here’s a website:

I thought that might be interesting for Christian Creationists that you’re not alone. Islamic Creationists are more scientific oriented, they have not the particular problems with astronomy, geology and physics that are caused by a 6000 years belief, but they agree with Christian Creationists in the rejection of Darwin.

Nearly all religions have historically had some creation story or another. This shouldn’t be unexpected because people have also expected that religion answer their questions about the world and at the time when many religions where founded, science was largely nonexistent.

There is also a secular form of Creationism, Raëlism, these people do not believe in a god but instead believe that aliens designed the Universe

Harun Yahya's material has been very helpful to me. I would recommend these two volumes for anyone wanting to explore some of his thoughts on the subject.

This book will provide you with not only such information as what fossils are and where and how they are found, but also a closer examination of a variety of fossil specimens, millions of years old, that are still able to declare, "We never underwent evolution; we were created." The fossils discussed and illustrated in this book are just a few examples of the hundreds of millions of specimens that prove the fact of creation. And even these few are enough to prove that the theory of evolution is a major hoax and deception in the history of science.

ATLAS OF CREATION by Harun Yahya International

Beautifully done and comes in a two volume set. These books were introduced into school curriculums somewhere but I don't really have the details available.

Grace and peace,
Mark
