"Six indeterminate periods of time shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh indeterminate period of time is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six indeterminate periods of time the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh indeterminate period of time; wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath indeterminate period of time, and hallowed it ."
This is how Exodus 20:9-11 reads to those who hold to the day/age theory, or almost any other theory that tries to accomodate what they believe "science" has revealed.
