Not too sure about all of what I'm posting here. Just some recent thoughts.
Looking at the first day of creation, I see obvious parallels between it and Christ. Light enters the darkness and Christ is the light of the world. God said "let there be light", and Christ is the Word of God, etc.
With the second day of creation I see some parallels between it and baptism. God separates the waters from the waters, God led Isreal out of Egypt between the separated waters, and we die and rise with Christ in baptism. Christ was also baptized in the Jordan river when the heavens opened up.
I don't know about the rest of the creation days and if there are other salvific parallels, or if the observations I've made are even valid ones (well, I'm pretty sure about the 1st one).
Any thoughts?
