I was suprised by the result of the poll crawfish (I hope he doesn't mind that I brought attention to it here) presented in C & E forum.
The question was asked if non-Christians found Christianity and evolution to be incompatible ideas. And not a single unbeliver voted yes. Most said no, with a few not sure.
I was surprised that creationist find evolution and Christianity to be incompatible--the whole ID movement is based on this premise, but not a single non-believer felt it was so?
If the creationist are not fighting evolution to preserve Christianity for others, then who are they fighting it for? If Evolution being taught in schools is not the cause of the rise of disbelief then what is?
Perhaps it is those who have waged the war, not to save another nation, but to perserve their own.
