Cramps

I am 13 weeks and the last three nights I have had mild cramps like I'm about to start my period. I haven't had cramping like this since the first 6-8 weeks I was pregnant...is this normal for them to be back, or should I go see my doctor? They usually only last about 30 minutes to an hour.

I had cramps around that time. I miscarried my first so I went to the doctor ASAP. Turned out I was told it's just my uterus expanding and it can be painful during the times when it expands a lot at once.

I'd still call and speak to the nurse in the morning, explain what's happening and ask if you need to go it. That way if someone with a medical degree thinks you do, you can be checked out before the weekend.

I have bugged my doc a lot on Saturday, after hours etc. I am of the better safe than sorry camp.

It could be your uterus expanding, but I'd still get it checked out to be on the safe side!

Ugh- my uterus and round ligaments to the alternating pain dance my entire pregnancy...

I am with Linnis, though-- if you are ill at ease at all- just give your doc a call. That peace of mind is priceless...

I had the same thing around that time, it was just the uterus expanding and the fun round ligament pain. If it would make you feel better, call your doc just to be sure. Sometimes easing your mind is best!

If it gets to bad you can apply some heat and/or take some regular strength tylenol.
