Interesting, yet it is legal to exclude foreign tourists from the census, so why is it legal to count those in the US illegally who should be deported?
Tourists are specifically here for a short term, on the span of days or weeks. Undocumented immigrants are still immigrants. They live and work in the community. Whether they are supposed to be there or not, they are there and intend to be there for as long as possible. They are still using services. They are still paying taxes (one way or another).

A 60 dollar an hr construction job. Labor is a big part of our economy. Several trades still don't require a license.
Good grief housing is expensive enough without $60/hr labor factored into construction costs.

Good grief housing is expensive enough without $60/hr labor factored into construction costs.

That includes health insurance that is mandatory, retirement, vacation etc. Sorry I was an employer so I tend to look at the real cost not what the employee puts in his pocket. The rate the worker makes is more 30 something.

Sorry I was throwing out costs not what they make. Its not about being unskilled. A lot of them know their trade. It's about being here illegally.

As we always say, context matters. Quote me the part of the Constitution that states a woman has the right to an abortion. There is not even historic context for that one.

I know, right? I keep looking for the part about their having to be separate restrooms for men and women. Actually, I keep looking for restrooms in general because I really gotta go and it seems that the Constitution doesn’t say that I can.

What politician favors helping the American people? Not one of them is willing to stop the problem. I see them all as the same on the issue. They just say they have different positions, their actions say otherwise.
First of all, I agree for the most part.
However, there is one philosophy, mostly held on one side of the political discussion that has actively destroyed the unions, which protect workers. They also have been actively working toward deregulation, eliminating the rules for employers and especially developers and favoring large corporations at every turn. Those pursuits are not helping American workers.

Not unconstitutional at all. The founders would never have counted a person illegally in the country. You do not count a person with no standing and no right to be here. In fact if the law were followed instead of ignored they would be removed. Just because you refuse to follow the law does not mean the lawbreakers have a right to representation. As far as the unborn, they count once they are born, well if they are born and not murdered.

We have illegal immigrants in this country? This is news to me .. in 2015 and 2016 Trump said if Americans elect him , he will send all illegals back to their homeland.. now after 3 and half years I thought he did his job and kept his promise.. and all the illegals gone from America .. Nah, he removed all of the agents on the border and stopped counting the crossings. The numbers went Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down, almost non-existant.

Second, they tend to be in lower income jobs, where workers are subsidized by others, whether they are citizens or not. The economic effects are complex. The low pay for some jobs makes things like food and health care more affordable for the population as a whole. I’m not sure I trust any calculation claiming to show the net effect.

I don't see an easy source for that. The closest I've seen is that 85%-89% of the applications for ITINs in 2013-2014 came from people residing in the US.
