  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

LN,
I am also a photographer! And I too have finished taking bookings for 2004! Although I have a good friend (who I used to work with in a studio) who will be our photographer.

As for our wedding it's on a Sunday (so nt as many places are booked for Sundays) we're planning on going to church with our families; then lunch, then I will go and get changed and ready!! Then an early evening wedding!

Six Months from today is my wedding!!

And I have barely stared planning! ACK!!:clap:

My fiance and I are starting pre marriage counseling with a Christian Therapist this week :) I'm pretty excited for that as well!
Congrats! 7 months from...tomorrow I think....is my wedding! Lots of planning to do, premarital counselling, awkward difficult discussions about what kind of contraception we will end up using....:blush:

I'm worried & don't know if my wedding in 2 months would be the right thing or not. Very worried. We just fight too much, but in good times things go well. I think we're just too different. I'm a PC nerd and she can't entertain herself. We disagree about things. I don't know - anyway the full story is too long to explain here.

posponed before... it was sort of due to admin reasons, but yeah. i'm suffering. i feel stressed all the time. i have to make the final arrangements for the wedding purely because people have to book accomodation (have to send invites etc.)

sarah loves me. i might be more scared to hurt her than anything. i love her with my heart, but less these days with my head. i'm scared of the whole kids thing as well. she pushes the kids topic very hard.

she's a good person and i trust her. i just don't know if we are compatible.

!!!!!!!!!!!!! :help::help::help:

Its quite a scary situation to be in.

oh, and i'm 26. want to marry me? :):cry:

She used to be all I ever wanted. Have I just grown used to her? Is that why I don't appreciate her anymore or is it the recent fighting that makes me feel like we are set up for failure.

a few things to consider :

As with Genesis .... the book of beginnings , so is the first year of marriage , the seeds of beginnings in marriage covenant... at some point one of the 4 categories will cause some friction .... as long as you can talk , resolve , and tweak things , you have a chance of making the distance ...
FORM =
family -- holidays , long weekends , vactions and travel
occupation -- overtime , evenings , weekends
recreation -- relaxation , vacations
money -- spend / save / lack of / wise use of

If you as a couple , assess priorities :
#1 God first in life , marriage
don't let offense come between you

#2 you as now 1 flesh , by covenant
let no one separate you

#3 parents are valued advisors
not your superiors

#4 friends are a blessing , but
not to come between you as a couple

#5 resolve discrepancies as they come
comprimise , put behind you and go forward
