CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

SO??? Most people I know have 6 months or less engagements - I had 8 months (3.5 to go), and seriously - I had pretty much organised in the first month - and noone wants to see me again (and don't need to do anymore) until end of January (meaning I had 4 months of twiddling my thumbs).
Honestly, I booked 6 things in the space of 3 days (minister, location, reception, photographer, videographer, dress) - it is completely possible, provided you have the time to devote to it, and the willingness to shop around by web/email whenever possible. We did this, and narrowed each supplier to 2-3 people, so that when we had to meet with each one, we only needed a day to do 3 things (photos, reception, booking location).
You can do it - VERY easily!
The only reason you might need longer is if your budget isn't ready just yet (ours pretty much was)...

Thanks for your encouragment and advice
. I actually just got engaged about 2 weeks ago, and we decided to marry in July during my summer vacation. I've already started looking up on location, dress, photographer and stuff, and am trying to narrow them down. The tricky thing is that both my fh's family and my family are in different parts of Asia, and our families expect us to hold our wedding in all 3 countries 
. The church wedding would be held in the US (our immediate family and best friends will be flying over), and I'm trying to get our families to help with the other weddings.. it's a nightmare trying to plan everything out by ourselves.Well, enough venting

Well my wedding is January 20, 2007 so I year and one month! WOW only 13 months to go...Doesnt seem THAT bad!

No fear! It's easier enought to plan it like that (I've done it in less than 6 of actual planning!)
