  • Outside my denomination, sure; but it'd depend on her/his religious views.

I voted no, because in the Coptic Orthodox Church marriage is not allowed between an Orthodox spouse and a non-Orthodox, with the exception of marriages between Copts and Greeks in the patriarchal territory of Alexandria (which is not where I live, so I can't take advantage of it anyway). It doesn't really matter since Coptic people don't generally do western style dating anyway (it is still common to arrange marriages between families), but even if they did the answer's still no.

How can the home be as a monastery (which is our conception; "Every home a monastery and every believer a monk", as HH Pope Shenouda III once said) if at every step of the day your partner is off doing their own thing, including perhaps living and believing in ways that are against the faith that is supposed to direct your life and marriage, and shepherd the family? It wouldn't work, even if it were suddenly allowed. With Eastern Orthodox specifically I could some level of accommodation being possible since that's already the case with regard to the Coptic-Greek couples in Alexandria, and between the Syriac Orthodox and the Arab-Greek Antiochian Orthodox in even more situations (I'm told that in the Middle East there is an allowance for intercommunion, but I've never seen it myself), but others no. We're too far apart on too many important matters. Besides, if you can learn to love someone, then you can learn to love or at least appreciate their spiritual traditions. If you can't, you shouldn't date them.

I was in love with a Muslim girl and felt very strongly about it. Still do, to be honest.
Based on that I voted yes. (Obviously I'd try to convert her in the process of dating/being married).

Sadly she couldn't date me because of her family's rules (boyfriend/husband had to be Muslim, even of their kind, whichever that was).

Do you mean whether we follow II Cor 6:14 or not?
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"

I do not have a denomination except being a believing gentile. But i hold to a free grace belief about receiving eternal life and as for creation beliefs, a flat earth creationist.

So that would be a high priority for me. And as many christians are now political, i hate politics one possibly that is not into politics.
