Could use some ideas for a name

This summer I will be working on a new ministry within our church. The age group will be 18-35ish. The basis for this ministry is 1 Timothy 4:12

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

I plan on creating a website, tshirts and different things to hand out during our local outreach events.

I could really use some ideas for the name of this group. Once I get that down, I can move on to creating the rest of the puzzle.

Just to give you an idea of what I was thinking I came up with this:

4:12 Tribe
4:12 Crew

Maybe not very creative..I don't know. Would really appreciate any ideas you might be able to give. Thanks!

18-35ish? This is not "youth group" anymore, but "young adult group". Well, stuff like "crew" and "tribe" are so... kiddish, you know?

Maybe get yourself a word that's not "cool" but "functional", such as "4:12 Young life", or "4:12 Disciple". Timothy was paul's disciple, you coudl call yourselves the 4:12 disciples. If you're part of the group, you're a 4:12 disiple, or a 4:12 discipler (you would be this, obviously).

That's just one exmple that came as I was typing. Sounds pretty cool to me, and it's functional and matches verse.

Like I said, this is an extremely odd age group. The whole point of naming an age group is that those ages will have something in common. Eighteen year olds and thirty five year olds don't have much in common. Further, they probably won't be looking for the same things in a ministry.

1) Yeah, recently I've figured this out too. I think instead of "young adult" being 18-35, we need "young adult" being 18-24, then "(fill in the blank)" being 25-35 or even 40. 18-24 is when MANY people make the transition from a childish faith to a child-like faith.


2) I never looked at it (naming of a group) this way. But this is sure a route you could go! It makes a lot of sense.

Since he might be stuck with 18-35 year olds, maybe we should find the things they should all have in common regardless of age: Jesus, agape love, Christianity, discipleship, faith, etc. I still think "4:12 Disciples" is really cool (but that's just me ).
