If there is proof that thousands of Kurdish civilians get killed, could this cause the Republican Senate to vote to convict or cause the President decide not to seek re-election, due to terrible poll numbers?
No. The Republican Senate does not care about the lives of anyone other than their own. The Republican Senate is scared to death of the Trump fanboys voting them out of office if they put the good of humanity and honor of America before Trump. If there is proof that thousands of Kurdish civilians get killed, could this cause the Republican Senate to vote to convict or cause the President decide not to seek re-election, due to terrible poll numbers?

We re-elect Bush with thousands of Americans dying and many, many more in harms way. US voters aren't going to vote against Trump because Kurds are dying and Trump didn't send American troops to defend the Kurds.
With regard to Senate Republicans, this issue could make a difference for some. Remember that the "real" process would require 25 Republicans not running for the Senate in 2020 to get together and pledge to vote for impeachment. it could happen.
American voters are idiots. They live in a vacuum. They think America is invincible. It isn't.American voters by far and large don't really care about foreign policy. I doubt this will really affect the polls at all, and even if it did I don't see the Senate turning on him or him resigning, ever.
Yes, but none of this has anything to do with my point that foreign policy doesn't affect American voters. It's not that they think America is invincible, it's that they don't care what happens outside our borders.American voters are idiots. They live in a vacuum. They think America is invincible. Sure we have nuclear missiles that we think will actually fly but we haven't tried one in decades. We spend more money for the military than the next four or five nations combined but most of that money goes to pay for the graft and corruption.
We have already been infiltrated by foreign nations through cyber attacks. Our elections are no longer trustworthy. Our PRESIDENT is suspected of being a foreign agent.
And if the rest of the planet decided to impose an economic embargo on us we wouldn't last six months. All of our billionaires have already made plans to jump ship and join the rest of the world.
We have been living on the image of people who 'saved the world' eighty years ago.

People still think this is about Americans and how Americans vote.
This is about honor and integrity. America exists and will continue to exist only if much of the rest of the world believes America honors its commitments and values those who side with America. When the nations which have sided with us begins to grasp that America doesn't honor its commitments to them and doesn't value the service and dedication the nations give to America, America will be alone on the planet. And that will not be a good place.
It is not whether America didn't 'send troops in to defend the Kurds'. America picked up their military and walked away from the Kurds leaving them to be slaughtered. Friends...real friends...don't just pack up and go home whenever they please and leave friends to be slaughtered.
The world WILL remember this. And America will pay the price for this.
America has no honor. America has no conscience. America is no longer great.
The United States has ratified no treaty committing to protecting the YPG.
Not that anything signed by the USA is worth the paper its written on, as the pullout from the Iran treaty proved."Gee, yeah we might have 'promised' we'd prevent you being slaughtered along with your wives and children, but the thing is we never actually signed anything legally binding saying that. So I'm afraid you're just going to have to start digging graves for your family, because at the end of the day the President has to bolster his base ahead of the next election. Priorities and all that, you know.."

On the other side of the coin say the USA sent in troops to stop Turkey, would Americans still vote Trump if thousands of US troops were killed protecting the Kurds, when the international community would not recognise an independent Turkish state anyway?
Yeah, not like there was any difference for the Turkey on shelling guerrillas in the mountains or fighting against the world`s only superpower.
Nonsense of thinking that they would have attacked if US had the guts and moral principle to stand and shield the Kurds.
Just wiping out the skies from Turkey air power would have increased the costs of the invasion to intolerable levels.
Now we get babbling about bringing troops home while Saudi Arabia gets heavier reinforcements than the ones you took from Syria.
Unfortunately it will be forgotten by most voters. If there is proof that thousands of Kurdish civilians get killed, could this cause the Republican Senate to vote to convict or cause the President decide not to seek re-election, due to terrible poll numbers?
