  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Greetings,

Welcome,Howdy and Hello
,

I will admit this is a strange question, anywho here goes:

Is it possible for the blind to drive?

Yes as in operate a motor vehicle like everyones does, like a car truck or van,a jeep sw or suv.......

You got the picture ;)

I noticed that blind individuals could do many things using thier other senses, read, walk, use utensils, use tools,do work(with special methods and assistance like Braille, guide dogs,staffs/canes,radio/video devices,etc.....) and much more to where at first,in many cases you don't know their blind untill they tell you or after a while and such.

And some could attain surgical work to gain/restore vision.

In fact many who are blind were born with vision and became blind during their lifetime(due to illness and such)and in a way still might have their vision since they have their vision in their memory.

What do you think of this?

Merry Christmas!

Hector

Of course they can drive. The problem is to keep them from running into a tree, or falling into a ditch.

Luke 6:39 And He spoke a parable to them: "Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch?

Hi All,

I appreciate the agreement:

LewisWildermuth I agree that the roads could be set with systems and vehicles with equipment :)

I detest the disagreement:

Blind(and other handicapped)people try to be as normal as possible and the U.S. supports them on that.
With more technology and ideas the Blind will be right by our side in the expressway before we know it!

Merry Christmas!

Hector
