Could Satan be saved if he accepted Christ?

All who repent do so because of the efficacious grace of God. If God withholds His grace from someone then they would not repent. God didn't know that satan would never repent because God knows the future, though He definitely does know the future. He knew that satan would never repent because it was never His Plan for His tool of wrath to repent and therefore He withholds His grace, which He is not under any obligation to give in the first place.

When you read the entire bible, you have read the greatest story on Earth, and it hasn't changed for how many years? Why would God change the bible around for satan? Sorry.....I just can't put his name in caps **shudders**.

He made his bed, he's lying in it (literally). He's the ultimate slimeball and I find him absolutely reprehesible, yet I won't doubt his capabilities for creating havoc.

The book as been written, the ending is known - and he's not to be saved. Period.

unfortunately, the plan of redemption, justification and sanctification are for the human race alone, and angels are wise beings he could figure it out before he held the rebellion against God because of His pride.

I don't think that God would ever allow satan into his realm of holiness once again. Why? It's simple. God needs satan to be where he is. So that he will be blamed for so many things. How many of you have read The Satanic Bible? I doubt many of you have. Satan isn't to blame for everything, but it sure looks that way. Satan will not accept God because he can't. It would mess up God's purpose. You need a good guy and a bad guy.

If we believe God's word has not changed and can never be added to, then Satan has a very clear part in scripture. In Revelation isn't Satan's end already spoken of? If I'm wrong someone let me know. It is the Word of God we need to turn to find out if Satan would believe in Christ or not. And, in accordance to God's word I think the subject is moot. He's going down once and for all.

Free will has no place when it comes to Satan. God is the creator, not man. I can't believe we can even be having a discussion on such a moot subject. We'd have to rewrite the Bible, folks.

carebeare, I think you are thinking of shintoism - the ying and the yang. God doesn't need a bad guy, but because He's perfect anything less ends up the bad guy. But, we have Christ - the ultimate good guy. All of us are influenced by satan (following blindfaiths lowercase idea on the evil one) and sin is a mark coursing through our veins. This isn't because of satan - it's because of man. satan just jumped on the bandwagon once it started rolling. Well, he might have pushed it down the hill. *hee hee*

Angels can't sing? Then how can "all the earth" rejoice?

The fact is clear: Angels rejoice and praise. Does that preclude song? If Angels can speak, then why can't they sing?

Furthermore, the notion that only the redeemed sing is faulty.

Lk 2:13,14

"13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

The Greek word here for "praising" is "Ainew" which means to praise, extol or sing to God. (There are other meanings such as recommend, promise, vow, but the first meaning "praise" is the translation put forward by the context)

In any case, Christian tradition understands the praises of God to come from all creation, and these praises are often sung. Ps. 148 etc

It does not matter if he could have been saved. The fact is that the end has been written and he did not accept God or Christ. The book of Revalation tells us what is going to happen to satan.

My daughter was brutally murdered by juveniles from a youth home that had Satanic tatoos. So it may be weird if I get to Heaven and find the reformed murderers there.

I had to forgive those who have hurt, used and abused me and my daughter because I want to be forgiven my own trespasses.

I agree that fallen angels MIGHT be able to repent and be accepted back into the fold. That would mean that perhaps even Lucifer/Satan might be accepted back into the graces of God IF he would repent. The Biblical prophecy tells what will happen based on God's knowledge of what choice will be made by whom.

God had a plan. God created evil. Isa 45:7 "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these [things]." I hope that all of God's creation accepts His will. Rev 15:3-4..the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous [are] thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true [are] thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for [thou] only [art] holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

I can only speculate that God's plan is to have all of his creation return to His grace through His mercy through the Lamb.

NO...

There's no means of redemption for angels. There is a means of redemption for mankind through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Satan rebelled knowing the results of his rebellion would not be redeemable. Somehow, believing that the creation will be greater than the Creator hasn't set real well with God.

When Satan warred with Michael, judgment was already passed upon him and the angels that followed him.

Revelation 12:7-9
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

And further in verse 10

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

In His omniscience, God knew before satan rebelled what would happen and what the outcome could be. Then, came salvation through "the power of his Christ".

I think that the angels can "sing", because I believe that what a song is to Christ isn't just a harmonic tune. I believe that when you "sing praises to the Lord's name", or a song escapes your lips, that could mean one of two things -- 1, literally a song - a harmonic tune. or 2, heartfelt words of praise to the Lord. It is a song to the Lord's ears when we praise Him, is it not? And the angels have seen the Lord face to face, so I believe they can certainly sing praises to His name, and do. Anyone would after seeing the Lord face to face, redeemed or not.

Satan cannot be redeemed because he is not human. Christ's death only redeemed the beings he created in his Image on earth.

The Bible is clear - salvation is not available, nor intended for angels. Satan's future has already been planned - hell was created for him and his angels.

If we're talking about hypothetically I think that yes, even Satan could be saved. But I don't think he will be. He is too proud, and jealous of God. Just curious, but is there any scripture which states that angels cannot be saved?

No I don't think satan would've saved. Because He has way too much pride and he is very envious of Jesus. Plus it's took late for him to repent his sins and be saved.

God would that all men be saved.This statement was made for a reason.we already know God loves everything he made;right, so why would he not want us all to be saved.God made up the blueprint of creation; so he had the ability to have all men saved before he made us.He also knew that he would not put the power of salvation in our hands.Thats why salvation is not by any works of ours but by Gods power alone.And because of this beautiful revelation, all men will be saved[ive done the math]ALSO IN Romans 11:32 it says God bound all men over to disobedience[sin] so he may save all men.So you see God has covered all bases; and there is much more to prove this [revelation].Satan will not burn forever; only for the aeons.God Bless all!
