Could really use some prayer...

I am a college student and I'm going for a double major, Psych and Lit. It's a lot of work, and so far, all my professors suck. Based on how they treat us in class, two of them should be teaching high school, and one of them should be teaching grade school. Anyway, on top of the stress I get from school, I still live at home (since the college is local) and my family, God bless em, they try to help, but just cause FAR more stress. Also, I am very lonely. I have few friends to begin with, and none of them live any closer than 300 miles. Ok, and up until about a month ago, I had a lot of anger and hatred for God, so God and I aren't exactly close. On top of all that, I'm bipolar, I have symptoms of ADD/ADHD (so I end up depressed and really hyper at the same time a lot, makes for an...interesting state of mind), and I'm in the midst of an ongoing struggle with an addiction to porn.

Any and all prayer would be GREATLY appreciated.

forget the addiction to porn,its being used to comfort you i think...........being away from friends,family is very very tough.......i pray the holy spirit gives you the gift of discerining of spirits so you can feel your families feelings therebye being closer to them,i also pray for a reduction in your mental illness to the point it does not hinder you in your everyday life,also pray the christ might send you a morally upstanding G/F...........that would make things much easier to bare................pray its so.........amen

Thanks. The addiction to porn is more about subconcious control issues, but that's another topic entirely.

What you called "the gift of discerning spirits" I call the ability to read people, and is something I have had for years, but thank you anyway. And actually, a good sized chunk of the stress I'm under right now stems from my family. I can't talk openly with them; when I do, arguments always start. My family's views on certain topics are FAR different than mine. And, it's rather hard for me to be part of a family that looks down on the Gothic and Heavy Metal subcultures with disdain.

Thanks for praying for my "mental illness", I actually made it through the whole day without feeling down in the slightest. A rare occurence for me.

I'll be honest, I would love to have a girlfriend; but with my afore mentioned addiction, I think that would be...perilous, right now. Besides, Gothic Girls and Heavy Metal Chicks aren't exactly commonplace in western Kansas.

I understand your struggle to deal with depression and attention deficit. I am not bipolar, but do struggle with mental illness and ADD. I just completed a Masters degree, and remember sitting at my computer struggling to do my research and write a paper, and not being able to focus.

Lord, I pray for this dear one who seeks to be in your will. I pray for the need to be able to focus and not be depressed. Give special grace and strength to this child. Help with the temptation to the pornography. In Jesus name. Amen.
