  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

yesterday in my English class we all put the desks in a circle and told ghost stories and stuff, and my friend adrian told us somthing that her mom had told her. its not really a ghost story, but anyways she said that when her mom was younger her dad had cancer really bad and the doctors had give up on him...she said that he would pray every night, and he told his family that every night he prayed a woman on a white horse would come pray with him and tell him that he'd be ok. well one night adrian's mom and her brothers and sisters were sitting out on the porch late one night, and her papaw had went off to bed, her mom said that she saw a woman on a white horse go in to her dad's room, pray with him, then she got back on her horse and left. well the family thought that adrian's mom and her mom's dad were crazy bc no one else had seen the woman. but a couple of weeks later when he went back to the doctor, all of his cancer was gone. as she told us the story i immediatly thought, Mary. what do you guys think:crossrc:

it cd be Mary -- my family and i had an experience where we believe Mary saved our lives. We were on vacation -- my mom and brother were in the cab of the pickup truck, my sister and i were in the camper shell. A big black 18-wheeler came up from behind and wiped us off the highway. The camper shell practically exploded into millions of pieces, and my sister and i "flew" out. It was a small town, and the staff and doctors at the hospital called us the miracle family. And we owe it to Mary, because one day a Mexican gentleman, small in stature, walked up to the nurses station and asked for my mom. She went to the nurses station, and he handed her the small glass statue of Mary that we had in the camper! Now, everything else in the camper was destroyed -- but this glass statue of Mary, that this gentleman somehow found, survived! And, that he brought it to us! and, that no one knew who this man was, and that he basically 'disappeared' -- Mom came back to our hospital room where my sister and i were, and she told us what happened -- it still sends chills down my spine -- i couldn't help but think that perhaps that gentleman was Juan Diego -- who knows -- but I do know that Mary protected us that day. And now my life is Hers.

In that case, you might consider the Montfortian Consecration of yourself to Jesus thru Mary which Pope John Paul practices. Many saints have consecrated themselves that way: All to Jesus thru Mary. The Pope's motto "Totus Tuus" are the first words of the Consecration.
