Could a meme stealer, prevent Evolution from evolving?

Hi there,

So look, you will think this is great, right, I know its hard to believe, but I actually thought of an even more extreme hypothetical, sometimes its hard to believe how extreme hypotheticals can be. It goes like this: evolution is a bunch of memes, correct? ([serious], butt in with your list of evolution memes *here*, mark me out in red, whatever) These memes are what consistitute Evolution's survival, right? And without any memes to believe, Evolution would die, sufficient? So what if there was such a thing as a meme-stealer, wouldn't it steal all Evolution's memes and leave it with no way to survive? For example what if I said "only Jesus can give you perfect Evolution every time, everything else loses to the meme-stealer"?

There's no way to argue with that, right? I mean for a minute there, you actually forgot what Evolution is, right?

That proves Evolution is not the truth! If it was the truth, you wouldn't forget!

A meme-stealer can kill Evolution but not kill Jesus, therefore there is a selection pressure from truth that will wipe Evolution out. I have proven the giant can fall!

Truth can't be forgotten?

Evolution would be re-discoverable if forgotten, the same evidence would still be there.

So it's not a meme so much as a valid scientific theory that agrees very well with current evidence.

Christianity I don't think would be recreated if forgotten though so your argument has some interesting repercussions.

1. Evolution is the change in allele frequency in a population over time.
2. We don't choose to, or not to, evolve
3. Populations evolve, individuals don't.
4. Evolution is a description of real world events, not a theory of morality.
5. There is no such thing as "completely evolved." Evolution is a process, not an end point.
6. All modern day creatures have been evolving for the same amount of time and are thus equally evolved.
7. Non living things don't evolve
8. "Belief" is not a genetic trait. Belief does not evolve in the biological sense.
9. We do not expect all populations to solve all problems in the exact same way. (ex. The fact that birds evolved wings does not mean we expect all creatures to evolve wings)
