I agree. The only times I have ever heard "cosmic evolution" was from Hovind or people quoting him. I think it is the method used by creationists to attempt to equate evolution to the big bang.Lynx2174 said:wouldn't it be more accurate or at least more clear to say something like: "the standard scientific explanation for the origins and development of the universe as we know it" instead of "cosmic evolution"
I mean, I really dont think that that term is used by anyone other than creationists, at least thats the only people that I have ever heard use that term.
Yes, I was quoting Hovind. Do you consider the big bang theory to be part of evolution?Event Horizon said:I agree. The only times I have ever heard "cosmic evolution" was from Hovind or people quoting him. I think it is the method used by creationists to attempt to equate evolution to the big bang.

Hovin doesn't know what he is talking about.
Why on earth would cosmology be part of biology?

That's what most evolutionist say. And that's one of the reasons why I'm asking this question.Douglaangu v2.0 said:There's your first mistake.

It wouldn't... but it is possible that the big bang is nessary for the theory of evolution...?Douglaangu v2.0 said:Why on earth would cosmology be part of biology?

No, all biological evolution needs is (essentially) space and resources. Since these are both obviously here it doesn't much matter how they got here, in regards to evolution. The Big Bang could be false, but that is completely unrelated to evolution, understand?Jon said:It wouldn't... but it is possible that the big bang is nessary for the theory of evolution...?

I thought it was nothing ---> rocks ---> chimps ----> humans? (in Hovind's factually incorrect, but endlessly humorous conception of evolution)Late_Cretaceous said:I think he is trying to get on the whole "hyrodgen to humans" thing.
