Hey! You guys were at the gallery stage? Did you enjoy it?
tulc(been to every C-stone fest ever)![]()
I usually spend most of my time at the Gallery stage.
Nitengale was great! I didn't heckle the bass player (Sean) but did introduce myself to him.
Thursday was the best day for me.
I saw Jeff Elbel and Ping (he's a long-time friend from when he used to live in So Cal)
They always give a great show. Jeff manages the Gallery stage every year.
After Jeff came Resurrection Band. It had been 8 years since they performed a full set, but they didn't seem at all rusty. They were better than I ever remember! I hope they are able to do a few more shows. It was announced that the concert was being recorded for both audio and video. Hopefully it will be available soon!
The 77's followed REZ. How can anyone follow REZ? Well - Mike Roe & company are up to the task. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen the 77's perform over the years, and each concert is unique. It's been said that the 77's are the most under-appreciated rock band in the world. I agree. They absolutely stunned me again this year.
The biggest surprise was DeGarmo and Key. Way back in 1978 I stumbled upon their debut album, This Time Thru. I could't believe it was actually a "Christian" band - it was GREAT music. In 1979 they released Straight On which continued to rock my world.
Unfortunately, they began to stray from the style of those intial releases, and by 1984 they were more of a "pop" band.
I wasn't expecting them to really rock-out, but they proved me wrong. They were masterful (even if Dana Key missed some of the lyrics from Addey).
The night ended with Over The Rhine. They've been playing the Midnight slot at Cornerstone for 16 years. What an incredible way to finish off an incredible day of incredible music!
and you're right, Rez was indeed great. I don't suppose anyone has pictures to share... ??

yeah I totally went through those and loved them! But still, someone's own pictures are like seeing a personal story of Cstone, you know? Not just the big overall view, but the "inside" kind of view. yeah I totally went through those and loved them! But still, someone's own pictures are like seeing a personal story of Cstone, you know? Although I'll take what I can get.
I didn't take many pictures this year.
Each time I go, I have a different strategy. This year, my plan was to sit in the back in my fishing/lounge chair, and just absorb everything.
It was a BLAST!
Hey, That's great news!Hey everyone, just dropping by to say Nitengale is performing again at Cornerstone this year. We're headlining the Jesus Village stage on July 3rd and we're playing the next night right before Seabird, as the second to last band on the Grr stage!!!
I hope you get the chance.the best festival ever! i really wanna go someday.
