we just taught my dog a great trick. Although I hope to never use it. My german shepherd absolutly loves to swim!!!!!! He is relaly strong too so yesterday I though a life jacket in the pond and lod him to go get it....he did several times, then I had my lil brother put one arm in the life jacket....and sent the dog to go get it...he was a bit surprised to have someone holding onto the jacket but he brought both to shore, we did this a few more times and then I sent the dog out to "get the boy" with out the life jacket....he never did figure out how to grabs nates shirt but he let nate grab his collar and swam to shore....now nate is a 9 year old kid so I went out and had him bring me to shore....he did.
I was pretty excited how quick he picked up what I wanted him to do. next we will try sending him after a kid when the kids are acting panicky and splaching water and then we will try and send him after a kid when they are totally limp and dont help him at all
