cooking with kids

I thought this would be fun to share photos of cooking with your kids.

Here is my 2 year old Alice cooking with me.

My 6 year old, Levi, LOVES to cook. There are two or three meals that I can expect him to make one his own, with minimal supervision, quesedillas, macaroni and cheese from scratch and skillet spaghetti. He can't turn on the stove by himself (a matter of safety and a function of him still being of the short people variety).

Unfortunately, I have no camera You won't be able to see!

All four of my children have learned to cook from a young age and they loved it. It is fantastic because they all can cook a meal. It makes for fun at home. Keep up the fun and skills

Cooking with kids is so much fun...they are delighted to have "big people" skills, and having them measure and check ingredients is an important early math skill and the message that if we follow directions it should come out right is a good one for anything!
