I'm not sure if this qualifies as a joke or not, but it really made me smile, enjoy
I heard once of a sweet woman who was seated near the departure gate in a large airport. Having some time before her plane took off she had bought a newspaper and a little bag of cookies. After she began to read in her seat, though, she heard a tearing of paper. Looking down, she saw her cookie bag being torn open and the man beside her reaching in and taking out a cookie. Not one for confrontation she flipped the paper up and thought to herself, The nerve of this man to have on of my cookies! So she flipped the paper down and took a cookie for herself.
As she ate her cookie and read the paper, she struggled to concentrate because of her outrage at the cookie thief. Just as her anger began to fade she heard him in the bag again and peeked from behind the corner of her paper to see him in the very act and thought, What is this world coming to? People have no respect for others property! In frustration, she then reached for a second cookie of her own. Back and forth they went until there was only one cookie left. Unable to muster the courage for confrontation, she sat and stewed, wondering what he would do next.
Well, she didnt have to wonder for long, because the next sound she heard was the final cookie breaking in half. Fighting mad, she opened the paper only to see the kleptomaniac man walking away with the final half cookie lying on top of the bag. In complete frustration she grabbed the final morsel off the bag, stuffed it in her mouth and right then heard the loudspeaker announce the final call for her flight. She jumped up, gathered her belongings, and headed for the gate.
After boarding the plane, she sat down, exhausted, but relieved to have that incident behind her. Opening her purse to file her ticket stub, she froze and felt the blood rush from her face there before her eyes was her bag of cookies, unopened and untouched.
As the plane took off she thought back to her angry treatment of the generous stranger, and how quickly her perspective had changed.
