I'm just wondering if it ever happens that someone converts from 'mainstream' Christianity to Messianic Judaism?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There is no conversion, we do not seek converts, however there are those that are called out from the _______ to follow what Y'shua taught. Many of these may have found the L-rD through a Christian friend, but have also found that Christianity is not what Y'shua started. Christianity does not allow someone who is Jewish to remain so if they believe the Gospel, Messianic Judaism, respects that and is the embodiment of it.

I told you, there is no conversion process, more rather someone discovers that the "Old Testament" isn't dead, isn't done away with and that G-d himself set up Holy days for us to celebrate, ( for starters) , and they decide to stop following the traditions of man and follow G-d.

Praise HaShem we don't have to convert . We need only have our eyes opened by the Spirit of G-d to show us the fullness of His Truth in His Word, and in His Plan for His children to live Life in Him through Yeshua. (*whew... that was a mouthful, even though I didn't say it aloud.)
As Zayit said, as a believer in Yeshua, you're able to go forward and embrace the Faith of the Word without having to "convert" to anything.

In the congregation that I've been attending I have found the majority to be Jewish raised in Orthodox homes. There are many Gentiles that attend as well but the Rabbi and several other's were raised Orthodox. There is even one women from the land of Israel who served in the Israielie army who recently received Yeshua as Messiah.Lotar said:

I know exactly which one and which Rabbi is starting it, it will be a super blessed congregation, I can tell you that! You are blessed to be living there, this congregation is the fruit of visions from the L-RD through many people and now he is making it happen!
