Conversations With God

Has anyone read any of the Conversations With God books by Neale DOnald Walsch? WHat are your opinions on it?

I loved the first one. Mainly because it went along with my beliefs EXACTLY. Many ideas that i thought were totally obscure, and original, and then to see them all together in a book was interesting to me. The following books seemed to get away from pure intent and to be for the money.

Being a Christian most of all my life, and now an athiest, I can attest that I have never heard God speak...And my definition of God speaking is, a voice actaully talking to me, not an "act" of God.

Im not hijacking this guys thread, im just giving my opinion that conversation with a God has not and will never exist. because in fact there is no God. Just reality!

There is not a god that is visible and tangible to you, I believe that.

Why cant you just bring youself to believe that it is possible that humans created the idea of God?

you are talking to the wrong believer my friend. I don't adhere to any belief. I am not arrogant enough to state my belief as fact. God can not be proven or disproven. I don't have a problem with your disbelief. And I already do think it is possible that humans created god. But experiences in my life, and events that I have experienced have shown me that it's very likely someone is watching over me and guiding my life, and me. It could be jesus, could be muhammed, could be some alien from Vega. Could be my subconcious. I am over trying to figure out what it is or if it is my imagination. and i don't give a flyin flip if you believe it, but again, this isn't the thread for it. this guys wants to discuss a book. if you want to discuss this make a new thread.

There is no creative force , as described in Genesis ; there are no celestial principles ; there is no order in the universe ; all this complexity , intricacy , and diversity just happened ?

there is a difference between agnostic and atheist ..... one says no proof , one says no God

so when we die we become mulch , become part of the force , and are reincarnated as ice crystals in the tail of a comet ....

But complexity, intricacy and diversity are relative. To humans this world seems complicated. But it may be very simple.
