CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dear Lord,
Please keep me focused on what true godliness is in my life.
Let me begin today, each day in the months ahead, illumined by your light,
To better understand godliness---the godliness I need in order to approach You better in prayer; in order to see you better in my spirit and in order to know Your Holy Will better in my own meek humble life.
Please make known to my body, mind and spirit the excellence of your sacred humility with better physical and spiritual discipline...the discipline of listening better to godliness in the life around me....godliness through the spirit of others........
Please give me a change of heart and mind to eat more moderately and to exercise more regularly....and to understand godliness in my diet and exercise.....
This is the main source of my misery, the obstacle that constantly keeps me from your love.
Please keep us from falling into sin today, and rebelling aginst godliness in others, and what we need to ask You about seeking godliness daily in our own lives.
Please quicken my heart and mind through Holy Spirit to better understand true godliness in the Spirit.
Defend us during this day with Thy Holy Power, through Thy Precious Holy Blood, that we may not fall into sin, but be quickened by Holy Spirit in all our words, and thoughts and deeds, and continue to battle the good battle in faith, with the power of godliness in our own lives.....
May I always proceed and be directed toward that which is just in Thy Sight.

Be with us Lord tonight.
Stay to adore and praise and give thanks for us while we sleep;
to draw down mercy and grace upon the world;
to give strength to the suffering souls, whereever they be, in their long night of waiting.
Stay with us, to comfort the sorrowing, to guard the innocent, to sustain the tempted, to raise the fallen, to curb the power of the evil one, to prevent sin.
O Good Shepherd, stay with your sheep. Secure them against the perils that beset them. Stay above all, with the suffering and dying. Grant us a quiet night and perfect end. Be our Merciful savior to the last, that without fear we may appear before You as our Judge.
