Hello my brothers and sisters in Christ!
I am taking a course on worship and for our final we have to assemble a worship service.
My service will be a celebration of the Feast of Pentecost and will be liturgical and contemporary--in essence, I want to keep as much of the liturgy intact as possible but I want to sing the liturgy to more contemporary music. I don't have to write the music--that is not what we are getting graded on--I can use music from any source. For example--the Preface as sung on the City on the Hill album.
While I worship according to the Lutheran tradition--our liturgies are quite similar. I have attended the Life Teen service at my brother's church and think its fabulous. (Even my 75 year old mother LOVED that service.)
Could you recommend any resources--internet sites, CD's, possibly books that would provide access to contemporary liturgy and help me assemble my worship service in the same vein as the Life Teen services?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
