Its been an interesting day, I have been doing laundry all day.. It used to never take me this long, but I am happily cleaning clothes given to CJ my hubby ... This morning someone from my freecycle group brought over 4 big garbage size bags of shirts for him... I am so glad because CJ was actually wearing clothes that should have been thrown out long ago...
A few years ago I was reading my daily devotional and reading about how God clothes the lilies etc.. I do know that everything written is for us in some way and I was not understanding this scripture at that time... So I asked the Lord to show me what that actually meant.. I knew in my head what it was supposed to be saying, but I wanted to know in my heart and practical ways it applied to me... So I asked the Lord to show me what this really meant.. Why are we always so surprised what he actually answers? LOL... Anyhow heres what happened, I was called the next day after this and a lady whom I barely knew says " I am going to be moving and I was wondering if you would like some of the clothes I no longer need.." Well I hadnt told anyone at that time I was wearing the same old stuff over and over.. So sure, I accepted ! ..She met me a few days later and gave me some bags and I thought nothing of it, untill I got home.. These were the really BIG black garbage type bags,and they were heavy.. When I opened them and began to pull out stuff I realized what I had been given.. These bags were jammed full of everything I could ever want, Dresses, Pants, Blouses, Shoes,Shirts,Socks, even Underwear.. all of it either brand new with tags hanging off or at least nearly new and maybe worn once. Not only that but they were exactly my size and style and color.. it was as if I had gone out and spend thousands of dollars on a shopping spree... I was so happy, Wow Praise God!.. But it didnt stop there.. The next day someone else came to me and said to me," I was wondering, I have these clothes I think may fit you..".. WOW! When God does something he does it right!!.. Truthfully, ever since I prayed that prayer I have never wanted for clothes.. No sooner do I think perhaps something is wearing out I will get it some how either from a gift or some one will give it to me.. I am just overwhelmed at the way God provides for us.. and whats more amazing is he allows me to see how hes done it.. He Is SO Good!
So back to my hubbys stuff... Today he was given 4 big garbage bags of shirts... Nearly everything was either new or almost new, most fit him and he ended up keeping... No one knew this but about a month ago I asked the Lord to show him just how it felt to be provided for by the Lord.. He just laughed... Well today is only the beginning...
