CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So a supervisor is higher than a mod. I thought that they'd be lower. How come our forum has 1 mod (Tishri) and 6 supervisors and omly Sophia and Tishri post. Waht advantages does a supervisor have over a mod????

I posted something in Tishri's welcome thread to explain the role of supervisors:http://www.christianforums.com/showpost.php?p=28605343&postcount=203.
Also, all of the supervisors don't actually have responsibilities in all of the congregational forums, but all of the supervisors' names are listed in each of them anyway. It's kind of confusing, but Protestant supervisors are assigned to Protestant forums and Catholic supervisors to Catholic forums. Most of the congregational forums have only one or two supervisors who are actually assigned to them. The mods and senior mods normally handle reports, warnings, etc., and the supervisors give advice and direction to them and issue infractions, bans, etc., if needed. I will still be moderating here with Tishri, though, since we don't have any other Adventist mods currently.

It depends on what team you are on, what the staffing needs are, and probably on your personal ability and attitude. And given it is a ministry, we hope some prayer goes into it as well!

And Tishri was a mod before she was assigned to the Adventist forum, also. She was kind enough to agree to help us out so that I wouldn't be all alone.
