  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've been trying to find a place to fellowship with other christians in the real world, but I'm not finding a place. maybe my standards are too high. Maybe I seperate myself. But in any case I am confused about what it means to be unified in christ. It seems that my sins and the sins of others continually get in the of being "unified".

So anyways I guess I'm just hoping to hear about other's real world fellowship, how it is they are unified in christ with others and continue to be unified despite the opposing force of the enemy.

I pray that you find a fellowship. Keep your eyes on Yeshuah. He alone is perfect.

Yeshuah's peace to you

We find unity with other Christians by realizing three things.
1. we're all running in the same direction
2. we're all running together.
3. we're not racing against each other.

Real Christianity is the goal that we are reaching for, and real Christianity demands that we show love not only for God but also for our fellow human beings whether they are Christians or not.
Real Christianity is something that reaches out to those who are also racing beside us to help and encourage them. it means if they fall, we stop and pick them up and carry them until they are able to run again. we do not shoot the wounded or leave them behind.
this isn't a race to see who's "the best" but to see who loves the most. and the last person to cross the line will be the winner, because they are the ones who stopped to help everyone else and see to it that they finished.:groupray:

Well I found a really good bible study that's not connected to a specific church its just ladies from the neighborhood who come together and study, we just talk there's really no one specifically in charge we read then pause and discuss, keep reading then pause again. So it's orderly but I feel I can contribute as much as anyone. And everyone is lifting everyone else up. We let eachother know when we agree, disagree, and encourage others through what is said.

So that's where I'm starting, it's only once a week, so I got kinda ansy this week when I didn't have chrisitianforums. :)
