Can someone tell me what blessing are and how to use them....I'm new so I'm not sure how this all works..Thanks

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Blessings are just what they soung like- Blessings!
You can use them to get things here like a webpage or a pet and a signature. You can find all of this stuff if you click on OPTIONS up ahead. Um, here are some blessings for you. When you get enough you can bless others too.

Drinks coffee past midnight
People give blessings for all sorts of reasons as there is an icon [the heart with a cross over it] in the upper right hand corner of a person's post. I just gave blessings to someone who had a heartfelt post and who was in pain. Someone gave me blessings for making them an icon. And for every post you post, the system gives you a blessing unit. {But trolling worthless content for the sake of a blessing is really icky and there are rules against that also...spamming your post count.}
I find that when I post and keep things substantive and true for me I get double blessed with blessings and reputation points along with contributing something of value to the CF community at large. THEN people may post in your guestbook or send you nice private message. Me? I'm saving blessings for a "kitty kat!"
