I am still married to the person.
I have always lacked peace about the relationship, just recently I realized that is probably because of my disobedience.
I am an unhappy person in general.
My husband is a very good father and husband and our life has been blessed in general.
I hope it is just the enemy condemning me and that I am not really condemned to eternity in hell.
In my experience, your life together would not have been blessed if God is not working in your marriage.
When I disobeyed God, by going out with someone I should never have gone out with, there was no blessings in the relationship at all. I would have given my right arm to make that relationship work, but it was impossible, for God would not be in it.

Sometimes, people marry In disobedience to what God wants, and God will still bless the marriage. Though his original intention for the one who disobeyed him now cannot happen, he opens up other avenues for them. So in some circumstances God is in marriages that were not in his original plan for the individual.
Others though marry In disobedience to God and have no blessings for God will never accept the marriage. We cant put God in a box and say he must always react the same way.
I'm positive it Is the devil making you feel condemned. Assuredly you are saved.
But you may have regret if I your heart you married someone God did not want you to marry. We always end up regretting not doing what God wanted, for we lose out in my view on the degree of happiness we could otherwise of had.
God bless

Hi Kim,

The reason you have no assurance of your salvation is because you think it depends on you. Your only part in salvation is to believe that Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again. Believe that his blood was shed for you. There are no works mixed in. Please watch the video I posted as soon as you can. Truth time radio does an excellent job teaching the Bible the way it is supposed to be taught, rightly divided (2 Timothy 2:15).

You can never forget that when you are reading from Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John you are reading about Israel's program. For our doctrine today you need to be reading Romans through Philemon. The information that was kept secret since the world began and only revealed to the apostle Paul from the risen Lord.

We are now living in the dispensation of the grace of God, Ephesians 3:2. To be saved look at Romans 1:16 Paul says for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVETH.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 tells us what the gospel is - how that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.

There are no works mixed in.

Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Read that verse again. Salvation is a gift. No works required, only your faith. When you trust that Christ died for your sins (all of them, past, present, and future), was buried, and rose again, when you trust that and not adding anything to it, you are saved.

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believieth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Every time I read my Bible, every time I read a Christian book, every time I listened to a sermon, while boating on the lake, and even once when I drove by a church! God was speaking to me, in my mind/conscience about laying the relationship down. I even remember saying (in my mind) to Him, "I know God, I'm going to do the right thing." Then I didn't. I went through with the marriage. I did not think it would send me to Hell, but I remember having thoughts that if I got married, I would go to Hell. I wonder if those thoughts were from God. So, lots of promptings from the Holy Spirit. I do not have peace about my salvation. I desperately wish I did.

Well, if you believe your salvation is dependent upon you, I'm not sure how you could ever have peace about it; at least, I've never met a human who was dependable for just about anything, let alone saving themselves. Surely you would be fretting over it until the end. But perhaps you're in a better place now that you feel you've done something, unforgivable. So since this is the case in your mind, there is really nothing left for you to do but place all of your faith and hope in the grace of God alone, with you, yourself, able to contribute nothing at all. Welcome to Christ-centered Christianity.
