  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Somewhere in the Bible, we are told to love one another, and to confess our faults to one another, and to pray for one another.

Actually they are commands from Jesus. Of course these commands are given to the Family of God and pertains to them.

In that vein, I confess (only to my brothers/sisters) that of late i have found my self re-acting rather than acting, and that has only served to further complicate the problems that were serious to begin with.

I have lost more than many people ever see in a lifetime and the pain of the loss has made my attitude far less than acceptable. I must stand and serve Jesus regardless and I seek the prayers of my Family at this time. I need a clean heart and right spirit and strength and grace to maintain it till what is the end for me.

To those who will pray, I thank you.

This is something I think we all find ourselves doing at times, Will keep you in my prayers  When God allows us to see things in ourselves like this, we should thank him for showing us, and ask for his help in overcoming it. I like to think of it as his way of letting us know he's there.

Thanks! These are wise words indeed. And thanks to Blynn and forjesus for your prayer support!

Good Scripture. It is those prayers I seek! Thanks!
