  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Where are you guys reading? I love to come here, because it IS a peaceful place.

I think part of the problem is that the reports have become very stressful :sigh:

but not just in CC, that is a site wide problem. Mods have their hands tied when dealing with problems and yet we are held accountable when justice can not be found.

I am how ever seeing a growning trend that I am happy about. I am finding more and more, that you folks are reaching out your hearts to those who come here and cause problems, small problems of course, the big problems, well, we're doing the best we can.

Thanks Edie for a great post  I agree

I agree with you,
Edie, regarding how this forum is and should remain. But I also am with Auntie in regard to being in the dark about where the poor behavior is being displayed.

It's one thing to say "do right" because we can all use the encouragement. But to say "stop doing wrong" needs some direction regarding what behavior is included. Maybe this is a case of "You would know if you were guilty." in which case feel free to tell me "never mind." The details above are just too vague for me.

I do thank you for your overall theme encouraging a supportive, encouraging, uplifting forum! :amen:
OK, the next thread I read showed me what you meant. Thanks!

God bless!

John,

I didn't give examples because I don't want to be accusatory to any one person. I look at myself too and see behavior not to be proud of.

My post was more along the line of a gentle reminder of who we are, who we should emulate and the purpose of our fellowshipping here.

[Edited for brevity]

Romans 12:9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Colossians 3:12-13 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Romans 15:1-7 ...Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

James 5:16................Confess to and Pray for one another
Colossians 3:13...........Forgive one another
Colossians 3:16.......... Counsel one another
Galatians 6:2..............Bear one another's burdens
Titus 1:13.................Rebuke one another (with love)
1 Thessalonians 4:18....Comfort one another
Hebrews 10:25...........Exhort one another
Romans 14:19............Edify one another
Romans 15:14............Counsel one another
Galatians 5:13............Love one another
Ephesians 4:12...........Love one another
1 Peter 1:22..............Love one another

Romans 12:9 Love must be sincere.

Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Romans 13:8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.

Romans 13:9 The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law

Ephesians 4:3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

[My edits - hope you don't mind, Jim]...

The rest of the "One Another" verses - thanks to Jim!

There is so much meat in these, so much to absorb and incorporate into all we do on this site and elsewhere in our lives that we would pay close attention to our Lord's admonishments w/r to how we treat one another.

God bless you all!!
