I agree...falling doesnt make anyone evil. They are tempted by evil, and as such are sinners.

So, are women more evil than men??

Some have said this, and so I was looking for refutations.

Not at all the woman is also a representation of the Church ( made up of male and female).

When Paul said Adam was not deceived but the woman was is not speaking of men not being so. Paul himself said sin deceived him (and he was a man).

The Woman (apeared to add to God words). She said ye shall ~NOT TOUCH IT~ in the garden. This was (in my understanding) the same as THOSE who say "TOUCH NOT, Handle NOT, taste NOT" after the commandments of MEN.

It cant be taken the same across the board.

Even men give birth you know

No, she was deceived. Adam chose to follow in sin, without deception.
Just my opinion.

Yeah... all in Adam die not all in Eve ^_^

I mean if we are going to get all technical about it right? She was to become the mother of the living, whereas everyone in Adam died.^_^

Peace

If we agree things go great, but when WA disagrees with me (very rare) suddenly she can't quote me correctly to save her little life. I did not suggest that women are evil. While I did use the term “hell cats” I was referring to an experience I had with taming feral kittens. I hardly think feral kittens are evil, but they most certainly are hell cats until tamed.

The thing that really blew my mind was that when I was sweet to the feral kittens they would not tame well at all. Of the first two kittens I tried to rescue one was a complete failure, I had to release her back into a feral existence. Her sister did tame, but just barely, and she was always quite nervous at having been domesticated.

Ironically, because of a dire illness, I started getting very very irritable, and as it turned out this was the best thing for the later batches of kittens. The more brutal I was with them the quicker they tamed. When one bit me and I slammed him into the ground so hard he almost passed out, I was utterly horrified at what I had done, but actually it was the best thing I could have done. That kitten INSTANTLY tamed and became the tamest kitten up to that point. After that he would curl up in bed with me and purr like crazy while his siblings hid in the closet. I was able to find him a home with Nichole Zelazny, the great grand niece of Roger Zelazny, one of my favorite Sci-Fi fantasy authors.

Untamed feral kittens simply turn their nose up at sweetness until you show them who is the boss. Only after they understand who the boss is do they respond to sweetness in kind. It immediately struck me as a parallel to male/female relations.

This is a far cry from saying the feral kittens and pretty girls are evil.

CF ate my quote of HowardDeaness scratching her head...

The subject for which WA is actually disagreeing with me on is not about women being evil, it is about women being the "weaker sex". Something that is not only confirmed by the Bible, but by every world religion, without exception.

Could they have children before eating the apple? According to Hebrew mythology Adam's first wife, Lilith, was far more contumacious than Eve, and became the mother of all demons. Eve could have suffered the same fate if Adam had not joined her.

My reading of the account (KJV), including Paul's revelation that "the woman was in the transgression", but, "the man was not deceived", indicates that Eve received the 'knowledge of good and evil' first and used this powerful knowledge to convince Adam to share in her sin. Of course this gave her a tremendous advantage over Adam-perhaps the same advantage that Satan had had over her.

That Adam was not deceived by her arguements and pleadings leads me to believe that Eve probably played her best card, that of sexuality, to finally convince Adam to share in her sin. That they were both 'ashamed' seems to indicate that they recognized later that they had misused this gift.

Eve didn't merely 'give' the fruit to Adam, she had to convince him to eat of it. This is revealed by God when He said to Adam, "Because you have hearkened unto (the nagging, pleading, threats, of) your wife......"
