....12 years ago Sen McCain demonstrated to the nation what conceding with with grace and class looks like. Only a man of strong character and respect for his political opponent and our country's traditions could give this speech.

Being a gracious loser is a sign of character. Which is why we are not seeing that.
or are we not seeing it because he wishes to make certain that everything is fairly done?

Nope. He's just doing what he can to game the system. Georgia's state government is as Republican as it gets. For him to complain about unfairness in Georgia is absolutely hilarious.

GA is another state in which there is to be a recount held ( although it is not until 1700 today that people will no longer be permitted to "cure" their ballots.

I hope he takes it to court and everyone can see him lose twice.
What if he takes it to court and wins? Notice I did not say that that is very likely.

The loser in any state where it is as close as in Georgia should request a recount.

I hope he takes it to court and everyone can see him lose ungraciously twice.
I would love to see A C Barret shut him down in an 8-1 decision (The 1 being Thomas, of course).

Otoh, if somehow he prevailed, then we know the Republic is over, which would be good to know sooner rather than later.

Some people would say that if Biden wins the republic is over.

I'm not talking about who the actual winner would be, but rather how the supreme court's status would be cemented as a purely political body.

Plus, Biden (or Harris for that matter) as radical is as silly as it gets. Watch your media diet, folks.

but the court cannot just declare a person the winner if they got involved it would be because there was a legal reason for them to do so. Given that how could that be political?

Ideally there would have to be a legal reason to get involved. But if the courts are in fact fundamentally political per my hypothetical, they could take the case for political rather than legal reasons. Now, I dont actually think its gotten that bad.... yet.
