I would have more sympathy for the OP if he/she didn't circumvent a ban and come into TAW for the express purpose of frothing at the mouth about a guy who has never professed to be anything but a secular entertainer...

Anyway that aside...

Whatever is good, whatever is lovely, whatever is noble, etc., think on THOSE things. Why come to an Orthodox forum to post worldly jokes about a young lady of poor repute? Just silly.

It was just a really stupid joke... I'm sorry if I sound pessimistic. The Apostle Paul orders us, "Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them." (Ephesians 5:11)

I think we all find the joke inappropriate in some level but all wonder if it's worth getting so worked up about?
1. If you watch Conan then you expect not to be insulted or offended? If not, then apparently it must have been the first time.
2. I'd rather be steaming about something useful and focusing my efforts on the next Mormon or JV coming to my door than some tv comedian who makes xyz millions a year coming up with half offensive things.

I mean he insults my home country on a regular basis and I'm not out there being worked up about it.
