I put share, because that's the case with the main desktop.

But we also have a second computer downstairs. I have a laptop that my employer owns. We both have smartphones.

So it's complicated - but you get the picture. I answered how I did assuming the root of the question centered around openess and privacy of computer and use. If the root is otherwise, my poll answer might change.

At this time, we each have our own computers from before we were married -- he has his desktop and I have an old desktop and a laptop. My laptop recently broke. Both of our desktops are old and kind of crappy. We could get a new computer to share, but I'm not sure how well that would work out. He likes to use his computer for gaming and I use mine for music, internet, pictures/video, and work.

We each have a laptop but at the same time, we each have complete access to each other's laptops.

This.

Actually I think I use my husband's laptop more than he does and viceversa. His computer is just better for gaming. :D

We each have our own and always have. Thankfully the ages of our laptops are separated by a couple of years so we haven't needed to buy two at once. But still, every three years or so, we're getting a new one for somebody.

We have one desktop we share, although I'm on it 90% of the time because I make my living from it.

My husband is probably one of the few people under the age of 90 that is actually still a bit incompetent on the computer. I don't mean that as an insult, I'm just stating a fact.

I think I like that because like EVERYBODY I know has like 10 different email accts & stuff. He wouldn't know how to set up an email acct!!

Computers just don't like HIM either. They do the wackiest things when he's sitting there, LOL!

The poll was not about privacy. Just about whether or not you each have a computer or you share one.

Thats how I read it, not about privacy and accountability

Yes, we have each a laptop, and each kid has their own as well, they have old desktops.

Melissa - give the root of the question, I should change our answer to "other" then. But can't, so take that as an FYI. The desktops are community , the smartphones are pretty much individual, the work laptop I only use. I forgot the tablet the first time around. Technically both but I'm not sure she's ever used it.

LOL!!! Sounds VERY much like my hubby! He's very rarely on the computer but he has figured out the Windows Media Player. :D

We share a computer along with the kids. Our cell phone has internet but we don't use it much.

I have a laptop and DH has a new desktop (he uses it for gaming, Facebook, his online class; we use it for watching Hulu or streaming sports games b/c we don't have cable or even local channels).

We pretty much have to have separate computers because we're both taking online classes. We had to share my laptop for a little bit before we got his desktop...it was SO frustrating.

We have complete access to each other's accounts on both computers :)
