Have you gotten any compliments lately? I was doing a myspace survey earlier and one question asked about the last time I recived a compliment. And I had to think......

I received a compliment just today A client at my office complimented me on my hands. She said they are beautiful and very feminine and that she wishes she had hands like mine

Last several days. A group of our tech support analysts went from offices to cubicles. Well, the complaint was from a "manager" saying he got 2 "old" 19" monitors and wanted his 2 "new" 19 inch monitors anyways. I was going to tell him shut his face because he was one of the people to put the analysts in a cubed environment. Bunch of whiners.

Ohh....I know those types of hands...very nice lol. I don't have those hands myself but I have never minded mine....they are not really long or really short....and I like them. Although probably not as awesome as yours

I did have a best friend tell me that I'm "quite a guy" and that I'm "fantastic". Those were a couple weeks ago, though...

I don't usually get compliments but a few weeks ago this guy who used to go to the same college as me said on facebook that he thought that I was beautiful and that he was too shy to talk to me.

I actually get compliments fairly often, friends, family, co-workers.

It's nice when those around you build you up.

Well I don't get alot of compliments, but the other day I was at the gym and I saw a woman I had worked with at Intel about 16 years ago and after chatting with her she said "Wow you look great for your age! I thought you were alot younger!" That made me feel really great since I will be turning a half century in June.
Then, the next day I was with my best friend and she told me that she has never known anyone that has lived what they believe like I do, and how much that ministers to her. WOW! I started crying and told her "don't put me on any pedestal because I am no better than anyone else and we all have sinned and even though I try to live by faith, I am no better than you or anyone else". She on the other hand, is the real saint. She will help out anyone anytime with anything they need and is always taking care of her friends.

Yeah, I've had a lot of commitments these days.

In response to the OP, yes I have. However, what we fail to realize is that even though one may receive compliments or positive reinforcement for our qualities, they offer little to no encouragement to those who do not believe them to begin with.

You have to see those good things in yourself if you're ever going to reap the benefits of those compliments. If you keep fishing, but don't have the bucket, you don't have any place to store all the fish once you do catch them.

A co-woker told me today that my shirt was really pretty....

And a few weeks ago one of my students told me that I had really pretty eyes. That was a bit awkward since it was a male student, but it was still nice.

I rarely get compliments. I think a co-worker told me she liked my shirt a few weeks ago. I suppose I've just stopped expecting them, so it's not weird not getting them anymore. It doesn't usually negatively affect my self-esteem, but sometimes I wish somebody who's not a blood relative would say something nice.

I was doing a ministry activity this morning and this little old man i was helping told me I looked like a movie star. I hope he meant that in a good way, lol. Then he told me my smile made his day brighter.

I was told I was amazing, um, last week, I think... I don't remember why though. I thought it was a nice compliment anyway.
