I think we could compare Mary with David:
David was chosen to build God's Temple (even though David's son built it, David still had a lot to do with it)
Mary was chosen to give birth to the Temple of God (Jhn 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.)
David found favour with God to bring in the Temple or dwelling place of God with man, he was chosen to fulfil God's will:
Acts 7:45 ...........David;
Act 7:46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob
Act 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the [son] of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
Mary found favour with God, highly favoured among women, she brought in the Temple of God (Jesus), she was chosen to fulfil God's will:
Luk 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, [thou that art] highly favoured, the Lord [is] with thee: blessed [art] thou among women.
ANd now, though we cannot compare Jesus with mere man, Jesus through His death and Ressurection, brought in the Holy Spirit, or God living in the Body of Christ (temple of God on earth)
...any thoughts on this?
