God teaches that a sin is a sin. I've heard believers say that God is saying that any sin taints Him. An example I was given was that God is a perfectly clear glass of water, and squeezing a drop of black dye into the glass, even if it is small, taints the entire glass. This analogy changed my perception of all sins being equal.
God does hate all sin, but is it possible that God hates some sin more than others? The Bible does mention the seven things that God hates. The Bible distinguishes seven sins from the rest to which God has a serious problem with.
Although God hates all sin, I'm pondering the possibility that maybe God does in fact, hate some sin more than other sin. A pedophile may disgust God more than someone who gets into an intense argument with their spouse. A cold blooded murderer angers God more than someone who steals from a store.
