  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

does your flash card work with your card reader (assuming you've got one)?

First step would be to post any error messages -- more information on the type of camera and card would also be good. Also, the BEST way you could diagnose this problem is to try a different card. See if one of your friends will let you pop in a card for a second. That'll let you know if it's your card or your camera that's faulty.

Sometimes things do go wrong, and you might have to buy a new card, but just saying that your card doesn't work with your camera after a format isn't enough information.

I would assume that the Xbox doesn't support your camera's file system. You probably had to install some drivers that are only available with the camera to use the card reader with your computer. If you really want to store things on your Xbox (and I can't imagine why) you need to transfer the files to your computer first. Then network the computer with the Xbox, and transfer the files manually from the computer to the Xbox.

The memory card essentially is acting as a miniature hard drive, but the format is different between the camera and the Xbox. You need a computer -- which can read both formats -- to transfer between the two.
