So you are asking if we should believe and obey Scripture. The answer is yes and I do not see any room for debate on this.

Either you submit to God or you are Satan's unwitting dupe. God's word must be our authority. If not, we make ourselves to be our own god. Check out the news. You'll see just how well that is working for the human race.

The Holy Bible are the inspired words of God given to man from God to write down for the sanctification and salvation of our souls through obedience unto God. Which is why it is important we are not reading from corrupted Bibles. I only reccomend the King James Bible to English readers.

We are told in James 2:26 that faith without works is dead. These works are the commandments and precepts taught in the Holy Bible that teach us to live holy lives obeying God's will. Without obedience unto God you have no real faith.

This is off topic but... there are many excellent Bibles based on the latest research and scholarship. The King James Bible is flawed and outdated.

Even with a perfect bible translation there would still be 10,000 protestant denominations which is a sad commentary on 'sola scriptura'. It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matt 4:4) This was a subtle rebuke by Christ against the 'sola' mentality before it even came into being.
