This one really came out well. Looks like you are back to yupo again! I think that is my favorite of all of your yupo wave paintings.

Thanks. That was the first yupo wave. I buried it and just found it. Do you find sometimes the 1st of its kind seems more inspired and can't be quite duplicated?

That is a tough one. For some things I do find it hard to get back to the heights of the first attempt. On the other hand, sometimes it helps to go on to something totally different, then come back to it later.

I have not tried the XP line yet. I have seen some good reviews, however. Have you used any other digital tablets to compare?

The picture looks good, and appears to be emulating graphite. What software did you use?

This painting is remembering a walk with one of my daughters. We saw geese who were heading home and managed to take a picture of one during their layover.

Thanks! I like geese too. And this was a nice day taking a picture of one (there were two ducks there as well). On the other hand one time years ago I was at a park minding my own business and a goose took off after me! They can be dangerous.

Lol! Too funny! Yeah, they definitely are dangerous! I've never been chased by one, but I've had a few give me looks when walking by! They're beautiful creatures but very protective, I think.

That's fantastic. It looks more like the reference photo. Great video too. They wouldn't play for me in the past but this one worked, so now I have an understanding of the steps. It's more organic than I anticipated. I was imagining layering and masking was involved like in photoshop. It's really very direct. How fun.

You can use layers if you like. But you don't have to. Masking, cropping, etc. are not possible in the program. So it does emphasize more picking it up and painting.

Did this plein air yesterday. Watercolor on yupo. I might add a tree upper left to balance out the composition.

That is great. What method did you use?

I struggle with structures and perspective, so am working on that here. Went with monochrome to limit variables.
