I have the opportunity to work with my church as a community evangelist with the old people in the old people's home. I will be helping my vicar duncan with the communion and visiting the people in the home. I will also be visiting the old people not in the home the people who come to our early morning service and basically anyone who wants a visit. I will be setting up a bible study for an afternoon. Maximum hours is 10 hours a week. I will also be keeping my job at Tesco. Lichfield Diocese has given us a grant so my friend beckie who is another community evangelist for the children and myself will be getting paid. Part of doing this I will be doing an evening course on Evangelism and Outreach for a year, this starts on the 30th September which is also my birthday. As you can probably gather I am very very excited about this opportunity to reach out to people who know Jesus and to the people who are searching for him. Please hold me up in prayer about this because as well as being excited I am quite aprehensive.
