  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi I have an old Commodore 64 which came out in the 1980s and was around for a good 20 years classic system.;)at my dads house which we are now clearing out. Long story.. Anyway I have quite a few games with it. My cousin gave it to me. I have some on discs. I remember as a child just being so excited by it and the games being great to play. I spent a whole day on it, loading games even when they didnt load cos I hadnt put the tape player in right place I dont remember it frustrating me. The graphics were not brilliant by todays standards. But it was the gameplay that shone through. I remember Daley Thompsons decathlon and trying to move the joystick really fast.
I want to set it up again at home and play some of those classic games again. Anyone else have one of these or had experiences of having them in past? I wod be interested in hearing your stories.

I never had one, but a lot of my friends did. I don't know how many hours I spend on C64s (too much of it trying to answer the questions at the beginning of Leisure Suit Larry in order to get in the game). Eventually, we figured out that we could hook up Atari and Sega Master System controllers and, later on, Genesis controllers to it. That was pretty cool.

LOAD "*" ,8 ,1 is permanently ingrained on my memory.
