Commitance to God

Hey all,
uhm this is my first post and i dont mean to be cheeky, but i was wondering if you could please pray for me, i want to really be a true christian and commit to god and be able to serve him. Please pray that ill be able to do so and my sin will be washed away.

Tinka you didn't mention what if anything you've done to become a Christian.The first step is to pray a brief prayer asking God to forgive you your laundry list of sins,all properly identified,and accepting Jesus as your personal lord and savior.Some ministers call it quits right there and claim that's all you need for salvation.Some go even further and claim that if you just mumble a prayer of 25 words or less - ZAP - just like magic you get instant salvation and even better,automatic forgiveness for all future sins.Boy that's what I've been looking for -Big Sugar Daddy In The Sky.Just think,I can become a priest and molest just as many children as I want.Well unfortunately, I learned that the bible doesn't make it quite that easy.Salvation also requires participation in a water baptism ceremony conducted by a clergyman and the baptism of the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-9) which comes only from God.But there's still more bad news.God will not grant us salvation unless we not just claim we accept Jesus,but actually follow His teachings incuding the one to forgive our enemies or those who have hurt us.Oh no!What ever happened to my Big Sugar Daddy In The Sky?Now I'm afraid that I'm going to have to cancel my hotel reservation in Baghdad.I was planning to go there for my annual vacation so I could kill alot of those people .I was hoping to make America safer the way our political leaders are trying to do it.Now it looks like I'm going to have to stay home and read my bible and listen to alot of sermons,so I can learn how to love my enemies which Jesus commanded us to do.I am just so disillusioned.No Santa Claus,no Tooth Fairy,and now I find out that there's no Sugar Daddy In tThe Sky either.
